This excursion will take you to an unforgettable encounter with the Sahara .
The first day starts with a visit of the Amphitheatre of El Jem , the ancient city of Thysdrus , one of the most prosperous of Roman Africa.
Second leg of this day: Matmata , a real lunar landscape, used among others, as location for the shooting of the famous films “Star Wars” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark”.
Last leg of this day is Zaafrane where begins an exceptional adventure through the trails and sand dunes. Arrival at the Encampement Méhari , tents, a restaurant, a bar…all of this surrounded by dunes, golden mounds of fine sand. Dinner, evening entertainment and overnight in Nomad tents.
On the next day, departure from Zaâfrane to Douz , the gateway to the desert. you will cross the Chott El Jerid , the ancient lake Triton , in the direction of Degache. Departure in all terrain cars for the discovery of the oasis of Chébika and the oasis of Tamerza . Change of scene guaranteed!!
Continuation to Gafsa and then to Kairouan , the last stop of this excursion.
